I finished up the Bondurant 3-Day Advaned Road Racing class today. I'm tired so we are going to try something new....this is the day's summary in bullets:
- Woke up at 7:30
- Drove tons of laps on the Firebird East Course in C6 Grand Sports Corvettes
- Worked with Bondurant Instructors Pete Miller and Austin Robison on fine-tuning my light brake input trail-braking to maximize entry speed
- Pete said I was good at driving
- Got passed by Nick and Yama
- Graduated from the class with a 3.9 rating (not too bad)
- Went to Octane Raceway for some indoor karting action for the 3rd day in a row
- Ran 60 laps
- Got my butt kicked by dorky 90lb local kids wearing driving suits and rib vests (here's a tip...this isn't cool at indoor kart tracks...just wear normal clothes and still be fast)
- Going to sleep
Overall, I the Bondurant school is a great learning environment and it was extremely benefincial to improving my driving, especially with course recognition on new road coarses. Their school cars, instructors, and overall experience is top-notch. I would highly recommend this school to all my racing buddies.
