New Fanatec Porsche GT3RS Wheel for iRacing

I just purchased a new steering wheel for iRacing from Fanatec and it is a massive improvement over the old Logitech Momo wheel I was using. The feedback and response is much more precise and linear with the new wheel allowing for quicker and much more consistent lap times. I've found that it is especially helpful on ovals where you need to be running inches from the outside wall to lay down quick lap times.

Whoa...tons of features: (from Fanatec website)

  1. Couple questions: how long was the wait on delivery from Germany?

How do the pedals compare to the Logitech G27's?

I love this wheel, but the pedals are very pricey and the shifter is currently out of stock. Then again, the G27 is nearly impossible to find without spending a fortune on it too.

Hope to see you on iRacing!

  2. For the wheel, there was no extra wait. It was delivered in about one week. Same for the pedals but I purchased the pedals in December so they could be backordered now...not sure. Currently, the GT2 steering wheel is backordered but I am not sure about the wait time. I ordered the shifter as well and probably won't get it until late April or May unfortunately.

I like the Clubsport pedals much more than the Logitech unit mainly because the brake pedal is a load cell and not a potentiometer. This gives a much more realistic feel and made me quicker and more consistent in iRacing. It takes a while to get used to though so I'm sure I'm not getting the maximum from the setup yet.
